Danielle Crismani

PRESS RELEASE HERE

Instructions for our wonderful Baked Relief Army.

Thank you for joining us on this project to send ‪#‎BakedRelief‬‪#‎lovetothewest‬ to rural families this Valentine’s Day!

This #BakedRelief Smoko Kit as farmers call them is a morning or afternoon tea box for a rural family to share. Pack it with items you would love to enjoy with your family. Remember this is a GIFT to a family, not charity. This is something to brighten their day!

Options

Option 1.  Fill a smoko kit and drop it to us.

Option 2. Contribute items to help us create smoko kits.

Option 3. Make a donation to QRRRWN to help roll out this project. Donate HERE

Option 1

Fill the Bx2 Post Pack box with lovely things, drop it back to us and we will mail out to a farming family the very next day. These boxes can reach even the most remote farm by the end of the week!
The two days for dropping your gifts back are as follows:

Saturday 14 & Sunday 15 February

Sunday 22 February

  • Some ideas of what to include in your #BakedRelief Smoko Kit:
  • Some home baked items. Anzac biscuits, shortbread, a small fruitcake and even brownies can be packed up. Please write on the container the date it was baked. Think of things which will travel well and seal them into a new plastic container (new take away containers work well - these can be purchased at any grocery store and even some of the discount stores.)
  • A new tea cup / coffee mug
  • Some tea and or coffee
  • A packet of mixed nuts for the blokes.
  • Edible treats for the kids
  • A tea towel or coaster.

What not to include:

Soaps and toiletries
Any home brand items.
Second hand items
Food which may melt or spoil during non-refrigerated transport of up to 5 days

Check list.
1. Collect a box from #BakedRelief Volunteers (at either address listed for the drop off and keep an eye on the #bakedrelief facebook page for more locations) or Purchase a Large Bx2 Mailing Box 310 x 225mm x 102mm from Australia Post for $2.40
2. Fill the box from the list of “What to include” above.
3. Add a note or message to a drought affected farming family
